BUWG contact details

BUWG was formed in May 1987 with the aim of promoting greater public awareness and concern for the wildlife of the Bradford Metropolitan District and to maintain working relationships with the statutory and non-statutory bodies. The group has given important advice for the designation of sites of local nature conservation (Bradford Wildlife Areas) and has helped promote and maintain a butterfly meadow at Shipley Station.

Membership is open to all interested people and the group provides a regular programme of indoor and outdoor events; a newsletter three times a year; annual wildlife surveys and exhibitions.
