Local Development Framework Consultation

The Council has issued its Core Strategy: Further Engagement Draft and accompanying documents for public consultation.
This is to support the process of preparing a new dvelopment plan called the Local Development Framework which will replace the current Replacement Unitary Development Plan for the Bradford District.
There have already been a range of public consultations on the Core Strategy Issues and Options. This has led to the production of a Further Engagement Draft which sets out the proposed approach to managing development and cahnge to 2028.
There are several environment policies (within Planning for Place), covering open space and urban greenspace, biodiversity and geodiversity, historic environment, landscape, trees and woodlands, energy, development and flood risk and environmental protection
You can view a copy of the documents on the LDF pages of the Council website or hard copies can be viewed at Council offices (Jacobs Well, Shipley Town Hall, Keighley One Stop Shop, Ilkley Town Hall) and the following libraries; Bradford Central, Shipley, Bingley, Keighley, Ilkley.
The 12 week consultation period runs from 28th November 2011 until 4pm Friday 20th January 2011
