Contact Information - Horton Community Farm

Transforming 1.75 acres of the underused Cecil Avenue Allotments into a thriving permaculture centre for affordable local food, environmental education and horticultural therapy.

At the moment, the site on Cecil Avenue Allotments is mainly overgrown jungle with the derelict remains of glass and brick buildings. So far we've removed over 22 tonnes of rubbish.  Our exciting plans for the future include a community area with starter plots, a straw-bale building, a large edible forest garden, a nature area and polytunnels.

Horton Community Farm Volunteer Opportunity

Help regenerate 1.75 acres of the mostly derelict Cecil Avenue allotment site into a thriving urban permaculture centre for local food, environmental-education and horticultural therapy.

Get outdoors and get stuck into some ground clearing, hedge lopping, wood-chipping, junk clearing and brewing tea using our fire-powered storm-kettle. The focus is on enjoyment rather than slaving away. We will be slowly moving on to digging, creating raised beds, horticulture, creating a nature area and an exciting large edible forest garden.

Please contact us prior to arriving.
